Confession: Adaline was actually 4 months old on Friday, but with graduation and family being in town I didn't have any time to sit down and write on the 'ol blog. Better late than never, so oh well.
Oh Miss Adaline, you are growing up right before our eyes. You're just not a newborn anymore. And you certainly don't look like one with all that long hair you have. You're a very social little girl, and you'll give anybody a smile. Although, you've recently decided that sometimes strangers are scary, and you've cried a few times around people that you don't know very well. You love music and we listen to it a lot. You seem to especially love my made up songs when I'm changing your diaper, and when we sing you primary songs at night. You're still working on crawling. You can get up on your hands and knees and just rock back and forth, then you fall over. You're so close! You roll ALL over the place, and you can scoot like a champion.

Your sleep: Oh dear me. The last month has been one VERY rocky road including some nights where you woke up 4-5 times. But you always do this thing where just before I go to write your ___ month post, you suddenly start sleeping a bit better. It's like you don't want a bad reputation. Oh well, whatever it is, I'll take the extra z's even if they're only temporary. In fact, just the last couple days you've been taking a longer afternoon nap because you wake up, squirm for a while, and suck your arm until you fall back asleep (as long as we turn on the white noise beforehand). I love that!
Adaline, you have such a big personality. You like to chatter away at your toys (and then to stuff them in your mouth of course). You discovered your feet a few weeks back, and that has provided you with endless fun times and something to suck on that never disappears.
You sat in a high chair for the first time while mom and dad got to eat lunch together at pizza pie cafe. You thought it was great fun, and didn't eat any of your pizza crusts.
You tried on shoes for the first time, and I can already tell that daddy is going to buy you all the shoes you ever want (he resisted this time since you can't exactly walk yet).
Another thing you've been enjoying for a while now is talking to "your friend" in the mirror. It's so funny to watch you interact with your own reflection.
Alyssa and I made you a little "play gym" out of PVC pipe (one day when you're older, ask me about the scar on my finger). You thought it was fun at first, but now you roll over pretty quickly and scoot away from it. When you're tired, you'll lie under it for a while and grab at your toys/smash them together.
You LOVE being outside. Whenever you just don't want to calm down, I take you outside and we sit on the porch or walk around. You also love your car seat/stroller/swing. Those are my go-to if you just don't want to fall asleep. We take a LOT of walks these days...

One day dad accidentally took the good stroller

You change so much every day, it's hard for us to even keep up! However, you're the one who is going to be coping with lots of change soon. Dad's summer internship just ended and we have a couple weeks all together before my student teaching starts and you'll be spending lots of time with Gram! We love hanging out with you and making you laugh. You're our perfect, sweet, little monkey and we love you, Adaline.

Trying to get a good picture with the rabbit as a reference,
but you really love toys these days |

| You dove for the rabbit, so dad is trying to put you back |

| Are we done yet? |
 |
| Oh yeah? Well I'm done |
 |
| See ya later |
