Recent Anecdotes

Since the purpose of this blog is also to be used as a bit of a personal history, I thought I'd throw in some fun stories/joys of recent life. 1) I am positive that Andrew and I are the luckiest people alive and here are a few reasons: The January that we decided to get married (in DENVER) was shockingly warm. Everyone was able to travel safely, people weren't cold taking pictures outside, and it was just an all-around gorgeous day. Even though our engagement was during the end of a hectic semester, we both have wonderful families who helped us to get everything done The flowers were perfect even though the store looked questionable and I ordered them less than 2 weeks before I was able to find a dress, on-sale, that needed almost no alterations My wedding jewelry was placed in the shoe box with my wedding shoes which seemed like a nice, safe place for them to be. However, these shoes were soon returned to the store with no thought given to the precious packages inside. ...

The Newlyweds

I decided that, having been married for a week, it must be time to start a blog. I also realized that most of my family doesn't live near me and I miss them and wanted them to know the many exciting things going in my life. Both of the receptions were just beautiful and we are both so grateful to our parents (mostly moms) for everything they have done and how much they spoil us. We love them so much! Now that all of that crazy is over, Andrew and I are busy trying to catch up in school, unpack, and just generally get in the swing of things. Yesterday was particularly fun because it was our first time attending the married student ward. There were a ton of babies and both of us had lessons about how we should have kids and fast! (Mine was even taught by a pregnant woman.) When we got home we sat around, napped, and enjoyed the many blessings of not having children for now.
