Waking Up After Winter

May 2025 Så skönt det var i maj! I'll start with a couple of exciting things from the month that I don't have pictures for. The first is that I went to an AW (afterwork) with a friend to try and meet some new people. I was thiiiiiis close to not going at all, but decided to go sort of at the last minute. Not only did I have a lovely time visiting with old and new friends, but I also met a woman who told me about a run group that was having free trials in May. I went to the Saturday run and was about 30 seconds away from missing the whole thing (Swedes do not take punctuality lightly). Luckily, I was able to join the group and we had a lovely 10km through the forest. I was able to understand and communicate well enough, and I enjoyed it so much that I've been running with them ever since. It's such a great place to practice my Swedish, and it's also been a really fun way to get back into running after a long time off. After the run, I met up with Andrew and the kids ...

Jam-packed

April 2025 The kids were adamant that we have our traditional April 1st dinner (it got skipped last year amidst all the change), and it was a lot of fun. I made menus, moved the table, and put up a curtain to hide the kitchen while they were at school. This year Adaline helped me and we made deconstructed pizzas. Somehow Andrew always manages to order his food in the right groups so that he gets just a regular meal. Just a magically little rainbow in the garage. I was hoping to see the northern lights one more time before summer, and we did! It was just one of those nights where I happened to check out the window before going to bed, and we got lucky! Andrew and I went outside and watched for a while because they were so bright and dance-y. It is not lost on me how cool it is to see the northern lights out my bedroom window and then take pictures with the lights swirling above our house. It's getting too light to see them any more, so it was fun to get one more time.  I love ...
