This is my adorable 6 month old.

Her name is Adaline. She is the most amazing baby. At Adaline's 6 month check-up, she weighed in at 13 pounds, 13.5 ounces (11th %tile) and was 26.2 inches tall (63rd %tile). We have ourselves an adorable little beanpole. The most fun part of her doctor appointment (although the shots went much better than usual) was the doctor's amazement at her mad crawling/standing up skills. He just kept saying how shocked he was and how unusual it was to be so ahead of the curve. I know it doesn't matter, and that I had nothing to do with it, but deep down it made me really proud to hear him say all that. Adaline IS awesome, and she IS adorable. He also kept saying that she was so cute and the boys would be crazy about her. While I'm not looking forward to the day that boys want to date my daughter...I admit it makes me proud to have such an adorable little girl. This pose just kills me! She looks so old Anyway, other than standing up, throwing everythi...

I have a 5 month old!

Man oh man does life go quickly sometimes. I started my student teaching Just after Labor Day and it feels like it's been forever and only a day at the same time. Adaline is now 5 months old. She's tried rice cereal, red bell peppers (more like she played with those), and a little avocado. She's been interested in our food for soo long, so we decided it was about time we let her have some. We've started giving her little bits of things we're making, and it's fun to see what she does with them. Right now she mostly just plays with her food, but she's learning. At her 4 month appointment, we told her doctor that she wasn't taking very good naps and that she'd started waking up a lot at night. He told us it was time to let her learn to fall asleep on her own and we just didn't know if we could do that. The next day, we decided to give it a try for her sake. We put her down for her first nap and...nothing. She just went right to sleep. A couple days ...

Graduation Day!

I know it looks like it, but I'm not EXACTLY graduated yet. I won't get that diploma for another few months, but...I'm really close. No more classes and no more tests! That's gotta count for something, right? The Reeves clan came to town on Wednesday and, thinking graduation would make the restaurants busy the next night, we went out to Chuck-O-Rama to celebrate my awesomeness. I'm pretty sure I ate more than everyone else combined, but it was still fun to chat and catch up with everyone. The next two days were spent mostly hanging around the house and attending graduation festivities. I am not even going to organize these... Secret telling Sucking on her arm...like always (almost) Always happy! Adaline liked mine balloons even more than I did, it's been over a month, they're deflated, and she still plays with them Adaline really enjoyed commencement My favorite part of this picture is Chloe pulling A...
