After staying the night in Amarillo, we made it to Denver in great time and the road conditions were excellent the whole way. We got to visit with my family, play darts and video games with the kids, and eat lots of tasty food we didn't have to cook. We also had early Christmas and I got my favorite present of the year: The Family: A Proclamation to the World printed on a big canvas with pictures of me and Andrew and our parents, siblings, and niece/nephews all around the border. I love it.
The night before we were leaving, we heard there would be some snow that night. Turns out it was actually a horrible blizzard. We felt like it was okay to go ahead and drive to Utah and we really didn't want to reschedule the car, doctor, and dentist appointments we had made for the next day. So on we went. Andrew is a great driver, but when you're towing a car behind a 10 foot trailer in bad wind, snow, and ice, things can get a little tricky. At one point we were in the right lane, slide into the left, back into the right, and then back through the left lane and into the median. The truck tipped over, but luckily rocked back. It left a large dent in our car and only a couple small scratches to the truck. We couldn't get out until a very nice man towed our u-haul, the car he was already towing, and our car out of the ditch. That was one powerful truck. So we were on our way again and kept under 40 mph. There was still plenty of ice and wind in Wyoming, but we made it! 4 hours later than we'd expected, but still in one piece.

What a busy couple of days. I'm glad you two were ok after that tip over! Scary!
