Christmas festivities

So what state did I leave off in? Oh yes, Idaho. We LOVE visiting family. The first night we were there, we went to see a crazy amount of Christmas lights and a camel near M&K's house.

We also did a little late birthday celebration for Andrew since I didn't get to bake him a cake. He almost ruined the surprise because every time I went into the kitchen to work on his cake, he followed me in there to make sure I wasn't snacking....

The next day we all did a little Christmas shopping. Sunday was great. Alyssa (one of my former roommates,  friend from my major, visiting teacher, and also Andrew's friend) had gotten back from her LDS mission in Romania about a week before and we surprised her by going to her homecoming talk. It was so good to see her and she gave such a great talk. We also had lunch at her house after and chatted with her family and some of our other college friends.

Monday was wonderfully relaxing. We went out shopping again and Andrew and I got some clearance Christmas decorations to start our collection. The kids put out cookies and eggnog for Santa, and a carrot for the reindeer. Christmas with young kids is so fun. We loved watching their reactions to their gifts the next day and seeing them play with their new toys. Andrew adequately spoiled me and we spent the rest of the day munching and visiting.
