My baby is the best

Miss Adaline has been napping for almost two hours now....  Updating the blog is a sure sign that I have run out of things to do. Naturally, all of my crafty things are kept in her bedroom so those aren't an option. She didn't used to sleep like this, but we put cardboard up in her windows to block out the light and now she sleeps like a dream (tee hee). The nine or nine and a half hours of sleep that we've gotten the past two nights have been WONDERFUL! Now I just need to get out of the habit of waking up at 5:30- she obviously has.

Andrew is loving his internship. I'm still not totally sure what he does all day, but he says he likes it and that's good enough for me. Neither of us loves his commute (especially when he takes the train) but it's worth it since we didn't have to move- and it'll only be 2.5 more months. In the mean time, we are just living it up on the weekends. This past weekend, we went to Andrew's soccer game (he won 8-1 I think); went to Costco, Macey's, and Wal-Mart; recharged at home for a bit; walked over to the snocone stand; enjoyed our snocones while we walked to the library to buy some books for Adaline; stopped by Richard's house on our way home; and watched a redbox movie before bed. Sunday was excellent too. We got to church a few minutes early and all of the lessons/thoughts shared were great. I was reminded of the saying that things don't get better, they just get different. Although I try to always think that my life is better (meaning my current life is always the best it's ever been), I think this saying helps me avoid the thought trap of "things will be better when...Adaline naps better, I graduate, etc." I really think my life is practically perfect right now. Obviously I have room for improvement, and I intend to become better each day, but I am truly happy with where I life is. I feel so blessed and as though I have everything I have ever wanted.

Here are a couple other adventures that need a recap and a smattering of pictures since that's what everyone wants anway.

  • Adaline had her first bathed and mostly loved it
Not yet sure what's about to happen

Lovin' it!

  • Miriam and Kelly's family came down for Memorial Day weekend and we had a picnic, climbed trees, and hiked to the grotto.
Bonding with her aunt so that she wouldn't
mind being thrown up on later. (Turns out
Addie doesn't like peanut butter either...)

  • Adaline's clothes are still a little big, so she sometimes slips her arm out the neck hole

  • We like to give Addie crazy hair-dos at bedtime

  • Other times she gives herself crazy hair-dos

  • She smiles ALL the time now-even at strangers (she is very social already)

I know she's asleep in these, but when she's awake and
smiling, I just don't want to stop playing to take a picture!

  • Sometimes she spends the day looking like a swimmer
And she's always ready for a fight
And more pictures.....

It's been almost 3 hours now and she is finally waking up. I can't wait to go snuggle that sweet girl!
We sure love you Adaline Jane!
