Oh man, what haven't we been up to these days? As I sit here typing this, my body is threatening to fall asleep-even though it's only 4:30 in the afternoon! Andrew and I have been SO busy lately. 1st: school. We stay on campus until 6 or 7 every night and spend Saturday from 9-6 on campus too. Even with all of that, as soon as we get home, we eat dinner and get right back to our homework. I'm really starting to miss my husband. I guess the good news in all of that is that we both are maintaining pretty good grades for now. Other good news that is school related: the semester is basically half over which means that if we've made it this far, we can make it the rest of the way AND my block class is about to end! Speaking of school, when I signed up for my classes 5 months ago, I guess I didn't notice the extra 6 credit class I'm taking...BABY. I have spent so many hours researching car seats and strollers and carriers and....you name it. Woof.
But, now that we're on the topic of babies, this past weekend two of my best friends threw me a baby shower! Even though the weather didn't cooperate and it snowed just during the hours right before and at the beginning of it, I thought it was great. Since the weather kept a lot of people from coming, there was WAY too much food. I have had 7 layer dip, Oreo truffles, and cookies for the majority of my meals over the last 2 days. As delicious as it's been, I've finally learned what heartburn feels like and how much fun it is to sleep sitting up because of it. Besides the great food, there was also great company and ADORABLE clothes to dress my baby in. (she's a doll and all I have to do to take care of her is dress her up all the time, right?) I loved getting to visit with everyone that I don't get to see very often -or ever- and just chat with girls. It's one of those few things Andrew just can't provide for me.

Hello delicious |

I sure like them |
While school and baby are the main things, we've also been adjusting to our new ward and trying really hard to go to all the activities/be involved. I think we're really starting to fit in and feel like we've made some friends. We also have a childbirth/new born care/labor/delivery/etc class that just started. Andrew is going on a trip with my dad to shoot some guns soon. We've managed to squeeze in going to a couple of basketball games. And we're having a baby in approximately 7 weeks. I think that about sums up our lives!

Oh and Valentine's Day happened. These are from Andrew's mom. We're spoiled. |

Definitely an improvement from the sausage arrows of
last year, but they could still use a little work ;) |
I also want to give a shout out to my amazing brother and his wife. My brother is in the air force and is about to be deployed for the first time. I'm so impressed by him and his willingness to serve our country in such a formal and direct way. He's definitely one of my heroes. I also have a lot of respect for my sister-in-law. She married him knowing that lots of time spent away from him was something she was agreeing to from the very beginning. That takes courage. You have to be one strong woman to be an Air Force wife, and she certainly fits the bill. I love y'all.
