How to celebrate fall in Texas

I love cool weather. Fall is when I get most excited and full of energy (just ask my old roommates). As such, I've been having a hard time enjoying the mid- to high-80s weather around here. BUT, this weekend we had a blast of fall fun. On Friday we watched the Cougars win some football. Saturday we went to the "Safety Harvest" Andrew's work was throwing-it was basically a fair, but they tied safety into everything. We had lots of free food, our picture taken, candy, and free massages. I felt like puking afterward, but it was great. Then I went to the RS Broadcast and dinner at church. I got to know one of the women in my ward, and met some women in another ward. I loved the conference.

Sunday was a great day. Andrew and I gave a ride to a girl around our age coming to church for the first time and got to know her a little bit. I taught my sunday school class for the first time (12-15 yr olds) and it went pretty well. Then we talked to most of my family, went back to the church for a fireside, drank hot chocolate on the balcony, and finished the day by talking to Andrew's parents. We really love our ward. We feel so comfortable and everyone has really gone out of their way to welcome us. It's awesome!

    1. Thanks! Remember one time in seminary when everyone was talking about how when it gets cold they just want to stay in bed and we were like, "are you kidding me?? It makes me so excited!" Good times
