Andrew graduated back in December (hence the whole moving to California and starting a job thing) but since BYU doesn't hold graduation ceremonies in December, we got to go back to the home of the Cougars. Adaline was SO excited about going to the airport, flying on a plane, and going to Utah. She is a fairly experienced flyer (I think these were her 9th and 10th flights) and she is so good on airplanes. It's only 1.5 hour flight, and both kids did great! Gram met us at the airport and Adaline was stoked!

Our flight was delayed so we got to watch them load the luggage and get the plane ready. She's a pirate? |
 |
This pretty much sums up our lives right now. Adaline just wants to read, and Matthew wants to touch/pull/get into everything. |
On Thursday morning, we took Gram and met Keller at the Provo Rec Center to go swimming. It was great to catch up with Keller for a while. Adaline had so much more fun playing here than the last time I brought her. It's amazing what a difference a few months can make.

Matthew's first time swimming! |
After swimming, we took a looong time getting changed and then took Keller and met Grandpa at Bruges for lunch. I liked what I got last time a lot better, but we still had a liege waffle and it was so worth it. Oh my yum. Then we went to commencement and Matthew spent the whole time crying and spitting everywhere while Adaline sweetly looked at pictures of family with Gram on her ipad. I took some adorable pictures of Matthew and Andrew but they're on my phone, so hopefully I'll add them another time.
On Friday morning, we headed straight to the college convocation. Andrew was near the beginning (hooray!) and then we spent the rest of the time chatting with the family behind us. They ended up holding Matthew most of the time, so that was great!

I can't even tell you how proud I am of Andrew. He worked so hard every single day and still made quality time with his family a priority. He graduated SUMMA CUM LAUDE in Chemical Engineering! That means his GPA was in the top 1% of all graduates. In other words, he is a genius! I love you, Andrew! Way to go! |
After convocation, we went to the engineering department gathering.
 |
Andrew ran into one of his best friends from high school |
 |
The Clyde Building...the first place I always looked for Andrew |
 |
Adaline took a lot of partial naps in the car on this trip. Some days it was pretty rough on her, but she's a little trooper. She also loved getting to take "Tangled" with her everywhere we went. |

Looking so scholarly |

Just of couple of BYU-taught engineers |
After taking the obligatory pictures around BYU, we went to Andrew's favorite restaurant: The Cheesecake Factory! Great choice Andrew :D After the most delicious food-thanks Alan and Deborah!-we met the AA Glenns back at the house for some cheesecake and games. After putting all 5 of the kids to sleep, we played anomia and "spontuneous"/sang songs until 1am and then Audrey and I chatted on the couch while Andrew and Adam chatted on the kitchen floor. It was a fun night.
Deborah got us tickets to the Payson Temple open house while we were in town. It is GORGEOUS! Seriously, go
look for yourself. Dark wood and beautiful stained glass and it was huge. I loved it.

These cuties melt my heart |

Adaline absolutely loves her cousins |
 |
Me and my babies |
 |
Matthew really likes taking selfies |
After a quick stop at the house, we went to visit Grandma Smith. We were able to surprise her while she was at lunch and then hang out in her new apartment for a little while.

Adaline always plays with the dolls and marbles and Grandma's house |

Four generations |
Next, we met Adam's family and grandpa at the Cougareat for lunch. Andrew and I had to stop by the bookstore for some much needed BYU souvenirs, chocolate covered cinnamon bears, and BYU carmels. Then we went to the MOA and learned about origami. We had dinner back at the Glenns and, after staying up so late the night before, the party crashed in a hurry. Andrew and I rented Divergent and watched it while we packed. On Sunday, Adaline and Grandpa walked to church, I spent most of sacrament meeting in the hall with Matthew, and then we headed back to catch our flight. Thanks for dropping us off, Grandpa! Things went smoothly and we got back with enough time to make dinner and get the kids to bed at their normal bedtime. It was a great little visit and we're glad we got to pack in so many things. We still miss all our Utah family!
Just the other day, Adaline told me she was going to drive to the airplaneport, fly to Utah, Gram would pick her up, and she was going to visit BYU. I quickly found out that she wasn't just playing pretend. She went out the door, walked through the parking lot, and was fearlessly heading to Utah. (don't worry, I followed her) I wish I could have seen where she was going to go, but I had to stop her from possibly getting run over by cars and she was very upset to discover that I was there. Apparently she's ready to go back.
Mustaches and dressing up just for fun:
 |
Matthew is always pulling her hair and she gets, understandably, so upset about it. |
 |
Yes, she dresses herself |
 |
I guess this face means that he likes the feeling of spit-up between his toes. |
 |
Adaline is already dressing her brother like a girl. uh-oh! |
