Somebody loves you, you've got a friend, even if you don't know it yet

 May 2022

May was spent counting down the days until summer break, finishing up piano lessons for the year, squeezing swim lessons so we wouldn't need to do them during the summer, riding bikes, and camping.

Matthew lost another tooth. It's like he doesn't even realize that at this rate he's going to be a teenager next month.

We spend a lot of time playing at the park while someone is in piano lessons.

Young Author's night at school-we got to go and listen to Matthew and Adaline read the books that they wrote. Except that Matthew was too quiet for me to hear his story, and Adaline was too shy and didn't read hers.

Sensory bins are endlessly entertaining and suck you in no matter your age.

Pretend play gets very involved over here and next thing I know, the whole house has been reorganized.

Another great thing about May was the chance to celebrate Nalia's birthday! We had a play date, a dinner of finger foods, a painting tutorial, and Alyssa made a pie.

Me and my buddy probably waiting for someone to get out of school or music class

More birthday celebrations and playing

Spiderman and Batman-best of friends

At the end of May, Adaline, Matthew, and Michael had their music class recital. They all learned so much over the course of the year and I am so proud of their hard work! Also, shout out to Adaline for somehow convincing these boys to wear dress clothes-they almost never do and I was shocked she persuaded them.

Alex or Michael snapped this gem of us after I got back from a long run. Ha!

Camping at Gualala was another success this year. We made dutch oven lasagna, the kids rode bikes, we played games and chatted with friends, caught up with friends we don't get to see often, enjoyed all the yummy food everyone contributed, and took a little break from the busyness and stress (and heat) of every day life.

Short and sweet because that's all the pictures I have and if I don't have a picture, then I probably don't remember it.
