Easter

First, some random pictures of my kiddos being buds. These are all from mid-March, before my family came.

He's about 4.5 months old here

She loves books, he loves his toes

Adaline also likes his pocket

reading stories-Matthew became interested in books much earlier than Adaline
After the Reeves left, and Adaline's nap, and the second session of conference, we had an easter egg hunt. Adaline and I went outside and hid eggs and Matthew and Andrew hid eggs inside. Adaline wasn't paying attention to me hiding the eggs, so when Andrew came out, they both looked for eggs.
"wait a second, there's something inside"

"jelly beans! I need to eat all the jelly beans!"

On Sunday, we got Adaline up and told her she needed to go look for her Easter basket (I think we'll do them on Saturday next year, but with family in town, this worked better). She raced off to get her new Easter book from Gram and exclaimed, "I found it!" She eventually found her Easter basket with lots of hints.

Since it was conference weekend still, we stayed home trying to listen to the messages from the prophet and apostles. After conference, we sang songs about Christ and read about the last week of Christ's ministry from the scriptures. That was my favorite part about Easter this year. I'm so grateful that we have a piano and that Andrew has practiced piano for the last 20 years of his life. It was really fun to sing "Christ the Lord is risen today, alleluia" at the top of our lungs! It was such a great way to celebrate Christ's life and the atonement and, especially, His resurrection.
Playing the Frozen match game she got for Easter

Our patio is fairly covered with sidewalk chalk these days.
A couple random pictures during the week:
We got some new bedding because it's already too warm for our other comforter.

She just looks so old sometimes

Luckily, feeding Matthew isn't usually this messy anymore

Sucking both thumbs at the same time is not uncommon for him.

Our apartment complex is great about having little parties every month. For April they had an egg hunt and pancake brunch. We could only go for the brunch, but it was so worth it to get free IHOP pancakes. After brunch, we met up with Alex and Camille to help them move their couch into their new apartment. They live on the cutest street in San Francisco. It's exactly what I picture when I think of SF. It was fun to see their new place and check out the views from their roof (although it was slightly terrifying to be up there). Next we all walked to Golden Gate Park (how cool is it that they live within walking distance of GG Park??) and went on the concrete slide. Adaline loved the playground and it was a really nice day!
We walk down to this HUGE playground and at first she only wanted to play in the sand. Of course.

Alex, Camille, Adaline, and Andrew all headed up the

Alex got stuck and had to jump ship. All the little kids we watched were so good at it, but the adults had a hard time getting past the flat part in the middle.

Adaline and I did have a pretty good run together, and she went flying down by herself (sort of on accident). Adaline had grabbed a tiny piece of cardboard, so I set her on it thinking I could walk down the stairs next to her and keep her from going to fast, but as soon as I set her on it she was gone! After the first part, she flipped off the cardboard in a barrel roll and landed back on the slide. I thought she was going to cry, but she got up and looked so excited as I raced down to get her out of the way of the next person.

Alex and Camille had to leave, but we let Adaline play a bit longer. As we walked back to the car, we stopped for ice cream at The Ice Cream Bar. It's been around since like...the 50s? I can't remember, but a long time. It didn't disappoint, the pecan pie ice cream was amazing! For dinner we stopped at In-N-Out because we do live in California after all.
A few pictures of my little stud on a Sunday:

April 12, 2015 Just over 5 months old

These are our neighbors' dogs-Sunny and Bandit. Adaline LOVES them and often asks to "pet Sunny" randomly throughout the day

She's off to play tennis  I guess

Next up: Adaline's birthday!
