So, after staying the night in SLC with my family, we drove back home, and then went I took Matthew to his doctor appt while Adaline was supposed to finish napping... I got home and we all went piano shopping with Andrew's dad. (His parents gave him a piano for graduation/Christmas) It was so exciting!! As soon as we dropped the piano off at home, we headed down to Andrew's parent's house for New Year celebrations with the Glenns and Fishers. We chatted (mostly about having little babies and how it would be nice if they slept a little more) and we ended up sleeping over. No one was awake at midnight, and considering the little babies, I think we're all quite proud of that. The next day we had the traditional shrimp and steak for dinner. Thanks Glenns!

TWO blue-eyed babies? What?! |
On January 4th, Andrew blessed Matthew. Andrew, my dad, his dad, Spencer, Adam, Keller, Harris, and of course our bishop were all in the circle. The blessing was wonderful; I love being married to an awesome man who can care for our family in so many different ways. My parents/siblings and Adam & kids stayed for church and then they came over for snacks at the green house. The Reeves couldn't stay too long, but Adam and the boys got to hang around and visit for a while (no Audrey at home meant they weren't in a hurry to get home). It was nice to have a chance to visit with so much family before moving.
Next up was PACKING! and there was so much to be done. How do we manage to fit so much stuff into a fairly small house? Thank goodness for wonderful family and neighbors or I don't think we could have gotten it all done. Seriously, we had wonderful people helping us all along the way and I am so grateful for them.
A friend of Andrew's brother told us about Bruges-a waffle place in down town Provo. Holy cow delicious. If you live in Provo (or SLC) you must go! Order anything! I had a burger, Andrew had a club sandwich (made with waffles, of course), and we shared the Liege waffle with cream for dessert. Yummm it was so good.
On Tuesday, the 13th, some friends from our ward, Adam, and Spencer all came over to hold babies and help load the truck. We got the bulk of it done in about an hour and half! Then it just took a little bit of puzzling to make sure everything was secure and the truck was packed well. Once the house was totally empty, we headed over to our gracious hosts for the night. A&A entertained us and then watched the kids while we got dinner at Outback (THANK YOU KELLER!!!) and walked around a store to celebrate our anniversary before heading out the next day.
Wednesday was our three year anniversary, whoot! Andrew's parents came up in the morning and Andrew and his dad headed out driving the truck and our car. Later, Adam took me, Deborah, and the kids to the airport. I'm so glad we got to fly instead of driving (Thanks again, Glenns!) everything went so smoothly. We got in and headed to the mall Andrew's aunt works at, and after saying hi, went on over to her house and hung out with Kate. Andrew and Alan made great time and stayed near Sacramento that night. In the morning, they beat us to Pittsburg and got things started at the apartment. We got there while they were off getting a check and then we were able to get the truck unloaded and start setting up. We got lots done because Therese was kind enough to watch Adaline for the day. After lots of manual labor, some Taco Bell, and a stop at the grocery store, we went back to the Miller's to collect Adaline and have dinner. It was fun to chat with them and get to know them a little better.

The rest of the week involved lots of errands and going to our new ward for the first time. People were very nice to us even though we were late and brought cranky kids. I even met a super nice girl who gave me a ride to the RS activity later in the week and our daughters are only 5 days apart!

I finished Matthew's quilt!! Hey Anna, thanks for giving me ideas and helping me brainstorm through all the different stages of this. |

The back has whales on it, and I hand-quilted it with whales on the patchwork squares and waves on the chevron squares. It was a long and tedious process, but I'm so proud that I did it! I even did the whole blind-stitch-by-hand-the-binding. Don't tell Adaline, but this quilt was a lot more intense than the one I made for her. |
