November!

The kiddos are sleeping, and as much as I would love to be sleeping too, Matthew keeps threatening to wake up and I can't relax enough for a nap. Oh well, blogging needs to be done anyway.

It's been quite the month as a family of four. For my mental health, we've tried to keep pretty busy. That was going well until I got mastitis (seriously, the WORST) and now we've slowed down a bit. I've just barely started packing (as in I packed three tiny boxes of books we never use) and thinking about the fact that we're moving in a month. It's a lot more real now that we have an apartment to live in. Hooray!

How about we just do this photo dump style? Mmk punkin?
He's always having serious chats with our kids.

My sister and brother-in-law sent me these in the hospital. I was so surprised and so happy.

After a couple weeks, we finally made it down to the park and Adaline was thrilled.

These two are the very best of friends

How cute are baby sneezes?!

I know it's blurry, but you can see both of their faces!

This is how we travel now. (P.S> the silver car in the background is our new one)

Matthew pooped and spit everywhere so he suddenly got his first bath a little earlier than otherwise,

Balancing school and family perfectly.

Adaline found a sucker and discovered that she loves them.

We went to the "lighting of the Riverwoods" to check out the lights and horses. It was ridiculously crowded.

Adaline got invited to her first birthday party. She had a blast the whole time except for playing this game.

My handsome men (almost) ready for church

We got to spend Thanksgiving in Logan with my family. The last time I had Thanksgiving at my parents' house was sometime before I got married, so it was awesome to get to be there. Keller and Harris came too, so we had almost everyone.
Chloe, Andrew, and I were the pie makers this year

The mashed potatoes men

This is what I get when I ask for a smile.

What Matthew did during lunch (Adaline actually did the same thing, so Andrew and I got to eat in peace!)

The boys played some football (with a rugby ball)

Andrew had fun learning more about my dad's hobbies. This was from playing with the laser cutter at his work. They also welded and painted bookshelves (thanks!).

"I'm stuffed"

They were fascinated by me swaddling Matthew and they got jealous.

Aunt Chloe

Andrew and I both said this was one of our favorite times from the whole weekend. (Of course, it helped that Matthew and Adaline both slept so that we could actually play the whole game.)

My parents also watched the kids so that Andrew and I could go to the temple. They both slept the entire time we were gone, so it worked out for everyone!

Quick update on Matthew: He is growing like a weed. Seriously, at his 2 week check up he was bigger than Adaline at her 1 month check up. And at a month old, he was 10 pounds 11 ounces. He's gained two and a half pounds! He has started to smile all the time which we absolutely love and luckily he's a pretty good sleeper. We love having him in our family!

Andrew has a week and a half left of school, then it's Christmas, New Years, packing, and California. This next month is going to FLY by.

  1. Oh you poor thing! Mastitis is beyond the worst. It's torture. Heads up: the antibiotics can mess with your breast milk and consequently the little ones tummy. That happened to me so just something to help in case he starts bring extra spitty and fussy. Your family is so darling! Thanks for the update.
