Her name is Adaline.
She is the most amazing baby. At Adaline's 6 month check-up, she weighed in at 13 pounds, 13.5 ounces (11th %tile) and was 26.2 inches tall (63rd %tile). We have ourselves an adorable little beanpole. The most fun part of her doctor appointment (although the shots went much better than usual) was the doctor's amazement at her mad crawling/standing up skills. He just kept saying how shocked he was and how unusual it was to be so ahead of the curve. I know it doesn't matter, and that I had nothing to do with it, but deep down it made me really proud to hear him say all that. Adaline IS awesome, and she IS adorable. He also kept saying that she was so cute and the boys would be crazy about her. While I'm not looking forward to the day that boys want to date my daughter...I admit it makes me proud to have such an adorable little girl.
Anyway, other than standing up, throwing everything off the ottoman, and crawling like crazy, Adaline is also eating so many new foods. She has especially liked squash, yams, and bananas. She is getting really good at "chewing" (despite her lack of teeth) and getting the food into her mouth on her own. It's so fun to watch her improvement and how quickly she's learning.
Some of the other things we've done recently-which I mostly don't have pictures of...
I love this little girl!

Some of the other things we've done recently-which I mostly don't have pictures of...
- For General Conference, Miriam and Kelly's family came down and the whole utah gang got together with them and we had a big party at Gram and Grandpa's house. We picked pumpkins, went on a walk, ate cinnamon rolls, and played games. It was fun to have so much family together
- We went to Trafalga last weekend with Adam and Audrey's family. We love that they live so close and we get to spend lots of time with them now.
- On Saturday, we also got to go to Andrew's soccer game. It was the first time Adaline got to go to a game because they're normally after she goes to bed. I think she would have loved it, but it was pretty cold in the IPF
This girl has the best bedhead every morning. The picture doesn't even do it justice |
This is pretty normal. I think his hair must taste like ice cream |
It's a lot harder to get good pictures of her now... |
She is always... |
crawling through... |
and licking...(?) |
the end table! |
Adaline also helps me grade tests |
"mom, these tests are terrible!" |
"...I'll just wad them up and throw them in the trash" |
