We are loving life!

I have heard terrifying stories about those first two weeks home with a newborn...But  in my experience, it was relatively uneventful. Yes we had a couple nights where Adaline just wanted to cry for an hour or so, yes she launched a poop rocket while Andrew was changing her, and yes we were a bit sleepy. But, here's a list of some of the other things we did in those first two weeks after she came home:

• Took a shower...every day...including the day she was born
• Took 3 finals (missed one; missed one; 100%)
• Went to Wal-mart, the grocery store, Target, Babies R Us, Walgreens, Costco

• Ate at Olive Garden
• Ate at Cafe Rio
• Made window valances with my mom and Andrew (Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about the quilt I made back in December)

It has adorable elephants. And the lace says "BABY".

I obviously made it before I knew she was a girl...

• Had a baby shower/open house
• Went to almost all of church (we missed the first 10 minutes and the last 20)

• Became a pro at washing out spit up
• Took multiple walks
• Applied for graduation
• Took Adaline to the doctor- twice
• Walked to campus and ran errands around campus-twice
• Kept the house clean
• Visited a friend from church (withOUT my baby with me)

It was super nice to have my mom here to make sure we ate our veggies and to hold Addie while we studied/took tests. She encouraged me to get out of the house early on, which helped a lot! I'm so glad we've had this time (and still have a little more) before Andrew starts his internship to adjust and make the transition to parenthood. We really love our little girl and she gets cuter by the day.
